Week 4
August 9, 2004 — This week is less visually interesting – there is only so much you can show of holes in the ground! Ted finished all of the holes for the foundation piers and we will start pouring concrete Monday. The backyard has become temporary storage and the Tuff-Shed is crammed tight.
The whole thing with the foundation piers was a bit amusing. O’Connor Hospital was building a new Emergency Department at the same time, and their piers were 4-5 feet across and 50 feet deep. What a difference in the code for a hospital vs a house.
